We've traveled the world to bring our clients only the best and most luxurious materials from England, Italy and Australia.  With premium blends of wool, cashmere, mohair and bamboo, these are the exact same mills used by the world's most exclusive brands and clothing companies.

 

Our clothes are created with an incredible respect to process, materials and attention to detail.  We handcraft full-canvas garments that have a thin layer of natural fibers comprised of horse hair and wool, in-between the two layers of fabric giving your jacket a more comfortable shape tailored to your body.  This allows the clothing to breathe, and provides that unbridled custom look and feel that perfectly drapes on you.  Most of our competitors use a much cheaper method of construction called glue-fusing, which bonds the layers of fabric together and dramatically affects the quality of your clothing.  We only clothe our clients in the best, so all of our jackets are canvas construction.

 

With TG, all custom details are included with your garment.  We give your jacket that personal touch with a lining of your choice, felt fabric detailing, contrast stitching and custom nameplates.  Every TG jacket has functional buttons, a built-in pocket square that matches the lining and a ticket pocket (optional). We have the ability to do all of this and so much more to ensure you have a one-of-a-kind piece, including:  REINFORCED COLLARS, CUSTOMIZED LININGS, HAND-PICKED STITCHING, PROTECTIVE CUFFS, REINFORCED ARMS, CUSTOM NAMEPLATES, POCKET SQUARES, SURGEON'S CUFFS.

 

Many suit manufacturers, to increase production, no longer use a canvas lining in their jackets. Rather, a fused lining is glued to the wool shell of the suit.  While this does hold the jacket’s shape, it often creates an unnatural stiffness that compromises the look and breathability when compared with a similar, canvassed coat.  It’s not just budget brands that construct jackets like this either.  Many designer labels use this same method of construction to save themselves money.  This glue degrades over time, and can start falling apart during the dry-cleaning/pressing process.  Where the wool detaches from the fused backing, the fabric ripples around the chest and lapels, a phenomenon known as “bubbling.”  Nothing can be done to fix these problems once they've started.

ALL OF TG'S JACKETS ARE MUCH HIGHER QUALITY CANVAS CONSTRUCTION.

Traditionally, men’s suits were constructed with a layer of horsehair canvas underneath the wool fabric shell.  This canvas holds the shape of the suit and keeps it from sagging or deforming (much like the foundation of a house keeps it upright) providing an enhanced look and a heightened level of comfort & durability.  The canvas is cut to the jacket’s shape, then the wool is stitched to the canvas.  Over time, as you wear the jacket, the canvas conforms to your body’s shape, creating an excellent fit.  The canvas lining allows the suit fabric to drape naturally, allowing a clean, well put-together look.
